To continue my story of my First Adventure in Poland I proceed with our final stop of the trip, KRAKOW!! This was an amazing city and the locals were overly friendly. Here are a few snaps I found on my computer from way back as well as some from a friend.
Krakow’s centre can be divided into two areas the Old Town and Kazimierz. The areas are both sprawling with cobbled floors, outdoor cafes, courtyards, and loads of cultural destinations. So go ahead and book your trip today!!
In 2006 I got the chance to go on my first adventure! I was working towards my Duke of Edinburgh award so a group of my other school mates and I signed up to climb Mt. Rysy in Tatra Mountains in Poland. Poland is a beautiful country and although we spent most of our time hiking and rock climbing we managed to still have enough energy to go out into the mountain towns.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to capture any photos whilst on top of the mountain because I was too busy dealing with the difficult terrain. Looking back at my 16 year old self I don’t think I realised how lucky and great of an achievement it was to attempt this climb, but I do remember having an amazing time. I do believe that this was the start of my adventurous spirit!
