San Juan, a magical night!

Roasting marshmallows at San Juan, SpainBurn three wishes, jump over the bonfire three times, and swim in the ocean. These are the three activities that made up San Juan last Saturday night. It is the shortest night of the year, 23rd of June, and my friends and I enjoyed it by roasting marshmallows, having long chats, and of course following traditions. According to the stories San Juan is that one day of the year where everyone goes down to the beach to be rid of their sins and cleanse their spirits. The fire purifies and the water rejuvenates. There were loads of parties but we preferred a more quiet night along the beaches of Marbella.
