On the 14th of March The Council of Fashion Designers of America presented the nominees and honourees who would have the chance to receive a 2012 CFDA Fashion Award. The event will take place at fashion designer and CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg’s studio within the Meatpacking District of New York. The honouree for the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award is none other than Tommy Hilfiger.
The CFDA Award’s main sponsor, Swarovski, is also presenting awards for the best in womenswear, menswear, and accessory design. Each recipient will receive support financially as well as the huge honour of access to the brand’s crystal resources. The nominees are as follows;
