On the 22nd of January the British Fashion Council introduces a new Menswear showcase in the Fashion 2012 calendar. The London Collections: Men although being on its own timescale, outside London Fashion Week’s normal showings, has received quite a of hype already. The fashion council is wanting to extend their reach within the sector of menswear globally whilst supporting British designers and brands.
Presenting their collections from the 15th-17th of June, emerging talent MAN, NEWGEN MEN are being sponsored by Topman and Fashion Forward. Whereas, more well-known designers such as Margaret Howell of brands Aquascutum and Savile Row will also have a place in the show. A variety of British work will be showcased from design to production, including tailors like E. Tautz.
The Fashion 2012 Menswear Committee has given itself an extra boost with acquiring prestigious names like David Walliams, GQ:Jeremy Langmead, Harrods:Simon Fuller, Tinie Tempah, Tom Ford, the Mayor’s Office, and many more.
